Hello Stickynotesforlife I miss you. I will be back blogging about food and my travels. Sorry, I have been away for quite some time. But don’t worry I will fill this page with everything nice and yummy.
To Sir Peter
Peter, Peter the CF Owner
I will be indebted to you, forever
The experience and training I received here
Will forever be lessons to remember
Thank you for being my employer
I will consider this opportunity a treasure.
You are my first friend here in CF
You also believed in me and in what I can do
You are such an amazing woman I know
And I will never forget you
Your voice, your smile excite me to work with glee
Your heart and passion to work is such a beauty to see
Continue to have that enthusiasm and energy
And you will be forever free and happy
And you will always be remembered by me
I love the sound of your name, like a carousel, mademoiselle
Thank you for all the help you have provided to me beautiful girl
I will continue to honor you as my colleague and friend
And you will always be remembered as my friend
Although I barely talk to you
My heart is still at peace with you
Your last name is Del Rosario
And mine too
What a coincidence right?
Knowing you is such a delight.
I always call you Mafe
When everyone calls you Fe
I always know you are such a wonderful lady
With an intelligence that is exemplary
I will never forget your Corrective Tarsier ways
Obsessive Compulsive that is what everyone says
But to me You are such simply the best.
Our conversation is limited to asking what and how
But I know you are such a good fellow
It’s amazing to have met you here
And I shall not forget you, my dear.
A beautiful name and a beautiful woman
Your skills to close a sale makes you a superwoman
Your soft voice and your lovely smile
Makes people happy from a distant mile
Thank you for making my stay at CF worthwhile
I am truly amazed by your skills to communicate
I dont mean how you pronounce words or enunciate
But your ability to bring people together fascinates me
I will always remember you as funny and carefree
You have a beautiful heart
Don’t ever change that.
Sometimes I am confused who is Alvie and Ivy
Because both of you displayed an amazing ability
Your Assumptive way of closing a sale
Makes you close so many deals
I may not have known you so well
But I will always remember you Alvie girl.
I don’t consider you as my boss
To me you are such a friend, so close
I smile, laugh, guffaw without fear
And that I think is clear
that to me you are such a wonderful man
Who is loved not just by me but by everyone
Thank you Sir Ethan
Do you still have unforgiveness issues?
Have you forgiven all that have offended you?
Have you asked forgiveness to those you have offended/hurt?
Have you tried forgiving someone even if she hasn’t asked for it?
Which is easier for you, to forgive or to ask for forgiveness?
Saying sorry is sometimes very challenging for me. I have difficulty saying it, especially saying it without giving reasons and justifications first. I always regard saying sorry as admitting that she is right and that I am wrong. But saying sorry actually means you are ACKNOWLEDGING that YOU have hurt the other person. So when you say sorry, you are actually VALIDATING their feelings. What you are trying to communicate to them is that you acknowledge that YOU HAVE HURT their feelings. And you are sorry for that.
I’ve learned this recently through a friend who was trying to tell me that not being able to say sorry means not admitting you’re at fault, in short, being prideful.
Do we really need to raise the white flag? Will it hurt us to do it?
Definitely, YES. Apologizing is very important in any relationship (friends, co-workers, churchmates, family and even to Him). And knowing when to raise the white flag and admit your fault is not a defeat but rather an opportunity to grow and live in peace. We’ve asked God so many times for the virtue of humility. But most of the time we fail to recognize that saying sorry is an opportunity for us to increase in that virtue.
1) FORGIVING IS NOT A ONE SIDED LOVE AFFAIR
Forgiveness is not like an unrequited love that has only one side. There are two parts in forgiving.
One- the part of the offender (to ask for forgiveness)
Two- the part of the offended (to release his/her forgiveness)
And these two parts are actually the same in the eyes of God. If you can’t ask forgiveness, or if you can’t release forgiveness, both are sins. They are still bitterness and unforgiveness.
I had a recent situation with my sister and it took me awhile to realize I had offended her and so I sent her a message saying my apologies to her. And I am still waiting for her reply. And by the way, it is VERY IMPORTANT that when you say sorry you DO NOT say your excuse first. Just say you are sorry that you have hurt his/her feelings and then stop and let that person digest what you said. After a while THEN you can tell him/her why you said or did what you did.
In this scenario, I have done the first part, but the second part of forgiveness which is supposed to be coming from my sister has not happened yet. God will deal with her, it’s between her and God this time (but of course God will expect higher return from Christians rather than from non-believers).
What if the offended person releases forgiveness right away even if the offender did not ask for it?
“MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO LIVE IN PEACE with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” Hebrews 12:14,15 NIV
“Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.” Hebrews 12:15NLT
“Get rid of all the bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4: 31-32
2) CHOOSE TO FORGIVE RIGHT AWAY
I offended my sister but did not admit that I was in the wrong RIGHT AWAY. Did not ask forgiveness for a long time and it caused her to be bitter towards me. She got more angry and unforgiving towards me. See?? Had I asked for forgiveness right away she would have forgiven me and bitterness would not have had a chance to take root, right?
In this scenario it will be advantageous for the offended person since she will enjoy the blessing of not having any grudge or root of bitterness in his/her heart.
“Forgiveness is not a state of emotion or a feeling. It is a decision, a choice that you have to make.” – Joel Osteen (in his book Your Best Life Now)
Why? What’s the proof?
Look at those people who are old and are in their death beds but are still holding a grudge against other people. If it is indeed true that time heals, then they should have healed already since they are already old, for sure time has passed, but WHY HAVEN’T THEY? That is because they have NOT CHOSEN to forgive. Yes, time helps but time does not heal.
3) GOD FORGIVES! WHY CAN’T I?
“Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?” Matthew 18:33
“Brothers, Listen We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus, there is forgiveness for your sins.” Acts 13:38 NLT
It is true that it can be hard for others to release forgiveness to their offenders. Yet God reminded us that even if we are not worthy to be forgiven and saved, He still did forgive and save us. Our sins, though MANY and GREAT, may be forgiven and that will not cause any injury to God’s honour. The same with us; forgiving or asking for forgiveness will not cause us dishonour. In fact, contrary to the standards of the world, asking for forgiveness will give us high esteem in the eyes of God because we were able to swallow our pride and admit our mistake. That is CHARACTER!
Take Away: FORGIVENESS IS A CHOICE. CHOOSE TO FORGIVE NOW. NOT LATER.
ARE YOU NOW READY TO ASK FORGIVENESS AND RELEASE FORGIVENESS?
I have been working crazy hours lately and I did not have time to write anything here anymore. What’s there to talk about?
Let me write something that would help Foreigners who would want to marry in the Philippines. I have visited the Local Civil Registry in our town because I was inquiring for my Sister’s Marriage License Requirements for Civil Wedding and I took the opportunity to ask about a Foreigner’s requirement for Marriage License.
Here are the things a US citizen applicant will need to present in the Local Registrar Office:
The Affidavit in Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry
Divorce decree(s) or death certificate(s) required to verify civil status and capacity to marry
Documentation regarding paternal consent or advice, if applicable. (For Marriage applicants aged 18-21)
Couple will need to undergo series of seminars and interviews
Family Planning Seminar
(For church wedding it may require more seminars and interviews.)
How can a foreigner obtain an Affidavit in Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry?
Applicants shall apply for the “Affidavit in Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage” at the Embassy’s American Citizen Services Branch (US Embassy in Manila) by appointment only. There is a fee of $50.00 or its peso equivalent for the affidavit, payable in cash only.
For those who do not want to experience the hustle and the bustle of Manila (like me), there is a U.S. Consular Agency in Cebu that you can visit to get this Affidavit.
I hope this is helpful.
I am not a food blogger nor a traveler, What am I? I am someone who wants to just enjoy my food, enjoy my experience in every places I visit. I tasted the best vegetarian chopsuey in Tagaytay.
Ka Rey Seafood sa Kubo Restaurant, Tagaytay City
For those who enjoy eating vegetables and some Filipino food, this is one of the best place in Tagaytay that you should not miss. I happened to be incited by a friend who loves to eat vegetables to a late lunch treat at Ka Rey Seafood sa Kubo Restaurant located at Aguinaldo Highway Maitim II East, Tagaytay City. If you are from Manila it’s 2 kilometers before the Rotunda.
Ambience is also great, you have to leave your footwear before you enter the Kubo (Nipa Hut), There is a display of bananas at the entrance and you can eat all you want for free. You will also be served appetizers such as peanuts, turnip, etc. The food
prices range from 150-400 pesos. But it’s really worth it. They serve the best chopsuey in town, They have all sorts of Filipino food like Lechong Kawali, Calamares, Tilapia, Boneless Milkfish, Mostly seafoods and vegetables. You should also try their Karey seafood kare-kare.
And since Filipinos nowadays love to post pictures right away. Ka Rey (although just a nipa hut) restaurant has FREE WIFI. So you can tweet, post a status, post a shareable selfie on Facebook and Instagram.
I am committed to bringing forth an
Spiritually Fulfilling human presence in this planet
Ask yourself now? How can you contribute to make this planet a wonderful world to live. I am not an enviromentalist but I love nature and I want my kids, my grandkids, my great grand kids to experience nature and to be able to live beautifully, and be able to breathe clean air.
Note for today: Pain is inevitable, and we feel the pain because we love and we care. Remembering the Yolanda victims made me sad because I care about the nature and the lives that were lost during that time.
I stayed in Manila for 7 days. I tried all means of public transportation to also experience what the mass have all experienced. I was so dizzy to look at so many people in the train station. They have two train transportation called MRT( Mass Railroad Transit) and LRT (Light Railroad Transit). I did try it for the sake of experience. I wondered why all people were so eager to jump out from the train. It was in the second to the last station that I noticed people were already at the door, the time it halted to the last stop. It was me and my friend Jean who were left there. I have to do it, because the last time I tried their pace when I put my card for the first time it went out again and the person who was standing at my back got mad because I was very slow.
I tried the Bus ride from Trinoma to Ortigas because I would be attending church at VCF Robinsons Galleria. I love the Bus ride, I could not complain. But what I did not like about riding the bus is the tormenting footbridge walk. You have to climb a footbridge to be able to cross to the other street. I forgot to take pictures though, I was bringing my bags, my hands were full, the scorching heat of the sun made me want to run and get it over with.
I was so lucky for this trip because I did not have to ride a jeepney. I have a friend who has a driver who always picked me up to be able to get to the location I needed to go, I even boarded her Porsche Cayenne (said with the hint of pride, because I don’t know if I could buy or even rode it again.) While I was inside the car I saw the jeepney. I was surprised to see that their Jeepneys have bars like that in the picture.
I asked my friend’s driver and he said it was use for protecting themselves from thieves
during the night.I was just surprised. That’s all.
I gotta say ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES.
Okra also known as ladies’ fingers to some English Speaking countries is a popular nutritious vegetable here in the Philippines.
Dietary Fiber 2 grams
Protein 1.52 grams
Carbohydrates 5.76 grams
Vitamin A 460 IU
Vitamin C 13.04 mg
Folic acid 36.5 micrograms
Calcium 50.4 mg

My friend is on a faceless diet also known as Vegan diet. With the attempt to make her eat something outside from her diet. I bought salted anchovies (salted small fish). Yummy. And yes, It was a successful ploy.
Okra is especially delicious when dipped with Salted Anchovies. And if you have rice on the side and a delicious Chicken Adobo, who would not be tempted to eat ’em?
This is my home for the next 10 days. Today is my second day in Tagaytay, it’s cold as usual, I checked the temperature it says 24 Celcius. For someone like me who lives in the city with temperature of 30 to 33 Celcius, so close to having a fever, the weather in Tagaytay made me want to sport a sweater. And yes I have been wearing a sweater for 2 days now.
I enjoyed the Funicular train ride in Tagaytay Highlands. If you know of a member in the golf club you will be able to enjoy the ride for free.
Tagaytay City is 56.2 Kms away from Manila. So this is the closest place to go when someone is exhausted with the hustle and bustle of the city. You will love the peaceful feeling just by looking Taal Lake and the foggy mountains. I love it here, but I can’t stay here longer because I miss my daughter.
I did a relaxing walk today, just to kind of breathe some fresh air and I saw these beautiful sunflowers. There are still more beautiful and colorful flowers that grow in Tagaytay because of its cold weather.
Things I love about Tagaytay
1. The 23-25 Celcius temperature
2. Majestic view of Taal Lake
3. Beautiful Flowers
4. Plastic-Less shopping bags
5. Quiet and Serene
6. You can drive fast. As fast as you can.
I still have 8 more days to experience Tagaytay
I’ve talked so much about waiting because that is mainly the reason why I am here and why you are all here. I’ve made a post several times about waiting and that is prolly one of the most common question some men and women here have asked?
Is there really a destiny for us?
Can true love be found online?
Am I going to be married?
Am I going to receive God’s best?
Will I let go and let God?
Shall I trust again?
How long shall I wait?
I’ve told myself several times, I will let go and let Him work what’s best for me. I am not going to wait for anyone, but instead I am going to enjoy my walk with Him and get on with my life. I have stumbled several times already just because I followed my own imperfect will, so this time I surrender everything to Him and just want to trust Him.
I am going to relate this idea of waiting with the recent clumsiness that happened to me. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from my cousin, one was a wedge and the other one was a formal black shoes. I don’t buy a whole lot of shoes because I don’t work in an office, but just recently I worked as a teacher so I needed to invest on good shoes. The order did not arrive yet so, I was a dissatisfied
customer, but I just have to wait for it to arrive because the good thing about ordering from her is
that I could pay it the next month.
But Payday came and salary was deposited. I was walking at the mall near our place and suddenly I found myself inside a shoe store. And fell in love with a pair of wedge shoes. And pulled some bills from my wallet and paid for it. The next day I was so excited to wear it. I made sure my nails were clean with my favorite blue green nail polish. I was wearing a good dress. The color of my bag
matched the color of the new pair of shoes (pretending to have a good fashion sense). I was strutting with finesse, I was strutting like a lady, then suddenly some small part of my shoes fell on the floor and I noticed that the strap had let go of my ankle. Boom! It was the end of a 10 dollar wedge shoes. I have to find a way (Mentos way- Filipinos love to quote it that way when there’s
a sudden misfortune or clumsiness e.g. one shoe got damaged, you also make the other shoe be damaged, it’s a popular TV ad) to be able to walk despite the damage. Embarrassment was an additional perk by the way.
I know God has been telling me alot of times already that I just need to wait for the shoes I already ordered, yet I went on my own and got so excited, I even felt good after buying it, for some reason it felt so perfect. Then, BOOM! The shoes died on me.
In the same way, I feel like that in waiting for the special guy God wants me to be. I shall trust His will in my life, I shall trust His perfect and pleasing will in my life. I don’t have to go against His will. I don’t have to go on my own again. It might end up like that of the pair of shoes.
Lord I shall surrender all my personal desires to you (this is very hard), and I shall trust for Your will
be done in my life.
